soliciting opinions - 2nd DMD choice

Ok, trying to do some homework before Monday's neuro appt as I am sure he is either a) going to try to talk me into staying on Tysabri (noooooo as I hide under the covers) or asking me what my 2nd choice is (???) but am clueless.  I KNOW I don't want anything with the word NAUSEA associated to it in any way.

Anyone want to give me their experience.  I'm not shot shy, have given too many of those, just being whimy and wanting as few side effects as possible.

Altho, neuro may have his own ideas, just want a level playing field
Thanks guys

Copaxone didn't work for me, however I had no nausea with it.  I wish I have could go back on it, as I am in the same boat as use...choosing a different med!  Good luck with your decision!

I had tremendous nausea with BetaSeron, but got some Compazine on board prior to the injection.  It has done very well in curbing that nasty little side effect.  I sometimes have to take it in between injections, but am hoping that will ease.

Good luck in making your decision.  I understand how difficult it is, but the value of the drug certainly outweighs the other.

Oh it ***** having to choose, doesn't it?! I feel for you as I'm in a similar situation at the moment. You say you've been on Tysabri so I'm guessing your MS is pretty active...would Gilenya be an option perhaps? I saw my neuro earlier today and he suggested I try Rebif first (I was on Copaxone but had to stop) with Gilenya as a 2nd choice. I was surprised as my neuro has always told me I have 'benign' sx!
Having said that, have you ever tried Copaxone? It has no flu like sx and no potential for liver damage so it has a lot of appeal! I hear lots about jab reactions but I had no pain whatsoever and no skin reactiions apart from immediate redness.
Good luck! Zoe
