Could this be MS?

have been having muscle twitching  and  pins and needles and numbness all over my body.  I have also been having a buzzing sensation in my legs and itching in my arms and legs.  I have been feeling weak behind my knees.  I have had an MRI of my head which came back no ... [More] rmal.  I have also had an MRI of my lumbar region and found I have a bulging disc at L4/L5 S1.  I am worried that this might be MS.  Could this be the case?

Thank you for your reply.  My symptoms are pins and needles, itching, burning, numbness in my arms, hands and legs and some between my shoulder blades. I also experience some weakness in my right leg and a little in my left leg.  I do have muscle twitches all over my body.  In MS do these occur randomly or do they occur after a muscle has wasted or atrophied?  I addition I have had some diziness, but I know that I have lots of fluid in my ears.  I am under lots of stress, but I never thought all of these could be stress.  I am very fatigued even with lots of sleep.  It is hard to get trhough my days and they seem to have been ongoing for about a month.  Do you thnk this could be MS?

What you describe does not sound at all like MS, I'm glad to say. 'All over' symptoms do not occur with this disease. A bulging disc is quite different from an MS lesion, and in any case the area you refer to is not part of the central nervous system, which is what is attacked in MS.

I'm wondering if you're going through a lot of stress right now. Your symptoms often occur during periods of anxiety.
