update-off topic my cat Simba

I haven't been here around lately. but if you go to the cat section under 'my cat will not eat' and 'the dread day has come for Simba' you can read it. I lost Simba this last Friday. He was 13 yrs.  He had a big tumor in his mouth and since I have done everything I could to save my beloved cat and he was still getting worse. I chose to end his suffering. He fought that tumor for 8 months and was happy for most of it.

the 1st vet kept telling me it was a canker sore for 2 months. I'm happy I switched vets who found the tumor and gave Simba the proper medical treatment he needed. That gave Simba 6 more months he wouldn't of had with the old vet.
To everyone with pets, if the vet is telling you something that doesn't sit with you right get a 2nd option, just like you would for yourself.

I've been crying almost nonstop since he passed. I know I made the right choice. Simba gave me a hug just before he went. it was like he was saying thank you and I'll see you on the other side.

It is so hard to lose a family member - yes I am one of those that include my pets as family!  I am so glad that you had all those special times with Simba.  He was very fortunate to have a compassionate person in his life who would not allow him to suffer - thank you for that.  It does not make it any better or bring him back but just knowing that he is no longer in pain hopefully helps a little.  Never regret the decision to help him pass - you did the right thing for him.
