I have been suffering with this for 10 years now, painful front nerve at top thigh, lightning strikes, all pain down the outer side of right thigh.  Just had a MRI of spine, EMG and NCV. Doctors cant find anything wrong and just want to give me meds.  Thigh always hurts, feels sore deep inside and sore to light touch on skin, leg goes numb, cant lay on that side.  Sometimes its better for long periods of time till a major flare up of constant pain. Fell on stairs around the time this started, feel this is somehow from some type of hip alignment issue.  Anyone else have this????

Seeing a pain specialist at Cleveland Clinic, I am scheduled to have a nerve block in about 10 days, consists of injections into my front thigh, still not really sure about what is consists of, and then he said later he will be giving me something else for what a guess is bursitis on same thigh. They will be giving me some type of sedation prior to getting the shots.

I have this...about 8 years now. Stemmed from a injury lifting furniture. The burning is unbearable. Doc tells me it is just something I will have to live with. I even had laser surgery to supposedly fix the nerve pain..still nothing. I am still searching for some relief. Best of Luck to you.
