BAD HEADACHES

I have been getting terrible headaches. To the point where I can't stand on my legs without help and no position is comfortable to lay or sit. Constant nausea, and burning, sharp, horrible pain in my left eye and left side of my head. I cannot function when i have these. And nothing seems to help. What is it and what can i do?

Hi... I used to have these headaches quite often, but I quit drinking milk and they went away. Five years headache free  :)

Thanks so much for your concern. I work for a chiropracor which is good because i get ajusted all the time. That is temporay relife It never really goes away! Ill definatly keep everyone posted

See the problem is that in July I lost my insurance. I started a new job and I have to buy my own. And right now i can't afford it. The Doctor did give me imatrex. That was in July. I save those pills for the mild ones. The bad ones only vikadin and sleep will help. But when you have two kids a dog a husband and a full time job. Sleep is not an option. I am trying to struggle through them but they are really interfering in my life. Ahhh....

I've gotten those before, so I definitely know the feeling. My neurologist says they're migraines--and they actually can favor one side of your head (for me, it's the left, also). Definitely get yourself to a neurologist, though, and they can diagnose your headaches properly and get you on some medication to help get them under control. Did a particularly stressful event cause these headaches? Or music/bright lights?

Have u had any scans or MRI's?....how long has this been going on?
If u need a referral, have ur PCP refer u to a neurologist. There are many conditons that have the same symptoms......stress,pinched nerve,thyroid issues,fibro,...it is difficult to speculate.
