BFS??

The past two months I have been having constant on and off twitching that has been driving me crazy for the last two months they have been isolated to the bottoms of my feet but recently I have been having fasiculations everywhere one minute an eyelid will twitch the next my whole thigh muscle group will twitch sometimes my stomach muscles twitch my lips my cheeks and fingers sometimes my hand twitches are so bad 2 or 3 fingers move

I have been to a neuro and had my blood work done had an EMG nerve conduction test and EEG all came out clean also had a CT and brain and spine MRI  all clean the only thing I haven't done is invasive spinal tap.

For a while I was worried I had MS ALS or mad cow disease LOL!!!   But thankfully the tests came back negative ..  CJD is still In the back of my mind but I think after 2 months I would have been bedridden...

If I had BFS would the twitches be isolated or widespread like the ones I'm having now..   I was diagnosed as having anxiety and referred to a psychiastrist who put me on xanax but the twitching still hasn't subsided ..

Just would like to know if anyone else has constant twitching like me

I've been to a neurologist and had an eeg emg MRI and ct scan came out clean also had blood work so that would rule out any nutrient or electrolyte imbalance

Hi there!

Well, without a detailed clinical evaluation it would be difficult to determine the cause of your symptoms. Possible causes that may need to be considered include neurological lesions, low blood sugar, electrolyte imbalance, metabolic issues, hormonal/ endocrine causes, micronutrient deficiencies, neuro-degenerative causes etc. I would suggest considering a detailed evaluation by an internist or a neurologist for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate management.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!
