Burning and tingling, in feet, legs and hands

Question

I am 59 female I have been sick in hospital with short of breath. chest pain, infection
white blood cell count tripled. I am having same symptoms
with burning and pain in legs I do not have blood clot been tested.
I have had two embolism to lungs 5 years ago.
I have a greenfield filter. I am constantly nauseas.
Can you help me? I do not want to go back in hospital was there 10 days. Rans77

Hi,
     Thanks for keeping me posted. If blood clots and inflammation are excluded, then the most common causes for leg pain and cramps could be dehydration or electrolyte imbalance(sodium, potassium, magnesium and calcium) or use of certain drugs like diuretics, statins or muscle fatigue or strain from overuse, too much exercise, or holding a muscle in the same position for a long time.

I would suggest that you discuss with your physician regarding these possibilities.

Hi I have had 3 dopplers on my leg no bloodclots. My white blood cell count was 22
doctor said it meant I have an infection. Meds are not helping.
Getting weaker everyday. I am having severe cramping in lower abdomen and painful legs

Hi,
     How are you? There could be two possibilities for chest pain, shortness of breath and infection. They are thromboembolism and pneumonia. Do you have any fever, cough with sputum? If yes then it could be pneumonia. An X-ray chest would help in making diagnosis.

As already you are prone to embolism, pulmonary embolism could also be the cause for your present symptoms. Burning pain in the legs could be due to thrombophlebitis. I would suggest that you get a Doppler of lower limb vessels, with ventilation perfusion scan of chest for making a diagnosis. Also blood investigations like clotting time and prothrombin time would help in assessing the condition.
Consult your physician and take his advise regarding the above mentioned possibilities.
