CLUSTER MIGRAINES

I would like to find out about the most successful form of treatment for these headaches. Apart from Oxygen Therapy or using Triptan medications. I am interested in finding out more about the lastest treatments which may involve the hypothalamus or any other treatments that are worth trying.

You see I had Cluster Migraines and they are the worst things I have ever had to deal with. I've had children and even that pain is nothing compared to these pains from my "clusters".

I have suffered now for some years and have been very lucky to usually had episodes lastings 1 - 2.5 weeks. Unfortunately, this time the clusters won't go away. It's been 5/6 weeks so far during this episodes in which time I am unable to get any quality sleep (sleep deprived) and my irritability is "through the roof".

Please give me some help or at least hope, Jayne

Some of the other treatment options include beta blockers, morphine, lignocaine spray, muscle relaxants and magnesium supplements.
Apart from this alternate therapy like biofeedback, acupressure and breathing exercises will also help.

my dh(darling husband) gets clusters and at the risk of sounding like a pothead, he's found that the only thing that really works for him is, well, "lady jane". :)
