Can there still be something wrong if the MRI only revealed mild findings?

I went to the chiropractor on 9/22/16, my normal chiropractor was off that day so I saw his counterpart.  I had been having increased headaches and occasional numbness in my hands.  He first manipulated the right side of my neck which popped about 5-6 times.  Then he moved to the left side, he asked me to wiggle my toes; which I thought he was just looking at my alignment.  I was kind of glancing down at my toes when he lifted my neck and violently cracked my neck.  I instantly said I felt like he over cracked my neck.  He said it was just muscular.  I again said I felt like something was wrong.  He more or less dismissed me and I returned to work.  I was very dizzy and my headache was extremely worse and the neck pain was intense.  I only work about 1.5 miles away.  When I got here I started feeling very nauseas.  About 30 min later the pain and nausea was so intense that I got physically sick.  I called the chiropractor's office to tell them that I needed to see my normal chiropractor ASAP and that I felt that the chiropractor I had just seen over manipulated my neck and I was having significant symptoms and vomiting.  She got me scheduled for that following Saturday to see my normal chiropractor. I ended up going home from work so that I could the rest and ice.  I felt very sick that evening and the headache and neck pain was really bad.  On Saturday I saw my chiropractor and he said that my spine and my scull were not even aligned.  I told him that I would be having a massage the following week hoping that would help.  When I saw the massage therapist she said I had severe whiplash and my muscles were very inflamed.  That following day my symptoms got really bad.  I almost went to the ER which I avoid at all costs.  I ended up seeing my chiropractor the following day who wanted me to go to the ER due to the symptoms and the nausea.  I work the hospital and I know how crazy the ER is on a Saturday evening so I went home and rested, doing heat and ice.  On Monday I saw my PCP who ordered an x-ray and asked that I be out of work for 2 weeks.  In the meantime I have had a total of 9 adjustments from my good chiropractor.  This Wednesday I finally had my MRI which only revealed mild spondylosis with uncovertebral hypertrophy and minimal foramina narrowing.  I am still having significant symptoms.  Neck pain, occasional nausea, dizziness, tightness, muscle weakness, numbness in extremities and chronic headaches.  I am wondering if the 9 adjustments since the over manipulation on 9/22 made the injury less noticeable or was able to align everything enough to not show injury?  My chiropractor on several occasions stated he thought I had a slipped disk, because when he would adjust me all of the sudden it would move to the other side of my neck and have instant shooting pain in my caller bone radiating down to my hands.  I am very overwhelmed and frustrated with this situation and I know there is something wrong.
