Chronic Pain

Hey, not sure I'm in the right arena but I'll try. I am 30 years old and for about 20 years of my life I have experienced strange symptoms which I think are nerve related but most specialists think otherwise. I have not seen a neurologist because I have been told not to bother. The earliest thing I remember is jumping into a pool and trying to flip. I landed in an awkward position and my whole life side hurt and felt tingily if that makes any sense. I think I had a problem before that but thats when I started remembering it. A little background, I developed a strange rash when I was 5 or 6 and they couldn't figure out why, I saw Cardiologist and such but they couldn't prove anything. I also had food alergies which gave me horrible migraines.
The "strange" symptoms that have continued since childhood are: shooting pain(feels like lighting) from my head, shoulder, arm and hip. This happens on a daily basis and is confined to my left side. I always start sweating on that side. I always feel like I'm in a fog or something(coginitively). I can't feel a needle enter my left arm, yet I can still feel some if they grab my arm. I am just numb to pain. The past ten years or so I have started having "flare ups". These mostly consist of high grade fever and shooting pain(more than normal) in those spots mentioned above. These last about 1 1/2 days. If you push on my skull on my left side it is more sensative than all other parts of my skull. Lastly I have splinter hemorrhrages confined only to my left hand. I wouldn't go so far as to say my left hand is deformed but it just looks a little different from my right. Thats alot I know but there it is.

Have considered Fibromyalgia?  It seems to fit. Fibro can be caused by a truamatic head injury, the nerve connection from the brain to the rest of the body is messed up. I would reserch it and bring it to your doctors.

Hope you get awnsers!!

It sounds like your problem might be Fibromyalgia or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. I myself have both Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. And most of the symptoms you are having sound like the symptoms I have. Here is a website you can go to, to learn more about Fibromyalgia    http://www.fibromyalgia-symptoms.org/fibromyalgia_diagnosis.html

If you decide to go to a doctor and ask them if you may have Fibromyalgia, going to a neurologist won't help, you have to go to a doctor that specializes specifically in Fibromyalgia. If you have any more questions about Fibromyalgia feel free to leave a note on my profile and I will answer them. Good luck with everything! :)
