Cold burning feeling in the body-Central is left side shoulder from back
Hi there Doctors,
I have been with this issue for the past 2 months and have seen two doctors so far, both of them suggested that its nothing to worry about and prescribed some muscle relaxation medicines (parafom) but nothing really worked. They say its a computer usage diseases whereby I used lot of laptops in the wring position like lying down on my belly in the bed in front of the laptop.
One day I woke up in the morning and felt as if my whole back is axed from the middle and i thought its some muscle ache, i did not take any medicine. This is what happened before my current condition, does not mean this is the cause. I am just describing here events as happened.
After few days I felt terrible burning feeling like ice cold hot burning at the left shoulder (back) area only and then I it continued for 2 days. I also felt as if I have burning feeling when I urinate. I went to see a doctor who said I may have UTI and he did a test and a culture, which went cleared. He then prescribed me parafon capsules and rapidus tablets to use for 5 days. By this time, I was feeling like the same burning feeling moving towards my left shoulder and even in the wrist and some times fingers. I some times also felt heat coming out from my heel. But one thing is sure, there is always permanent burning feeling at the left shoulder back muscle (strange right muscle is ok).
Yes besides this place, same feeling felt some time whole body (like menthold coldness), sometimes whole back. But mostly the center point is back side.
When I took those medicines, on 3rd day, pain had gone as if not there, then i continue the medicine for 8 days and on 7th day, same pai started. and now taking the the medicines has no effect really.
So tell me whats the issue with me? I cant stand this cold burning feeling in my back......?

Hi,
It is very likely that you are suffering from nerve compression in the cervical spine and thoracic spine due to bad posture while working on the lap top. This nerve compression is causing cold feelings in your shoulders and burning pain in the arms and fingers. I would suggest you to take rest and get physical therapy under a trained instructor. Alternate heat and ice packs and OTC B complex supplements will also help.
