Confused

I used to weightlift since many years and since around one year i started to play Muay thai. After several months of training i started to fell tingling in my fingertips in both hands but I didn't give any attention because I thought it was caused by B12 deficiency due to heavy workout. Later on and till this moment, I have developed continuous numbness in thumb, index, middle and half of ring finger in both hands but more visible in left hand ( i am left handed ). In addition, there was numbness in palmar side of both hands where the median nerve passes by. There is also severe weakness in my left hand index finger to the extent that I am not capable to press a remote control button with it! I also noted weakness in my left arm to the extent that I am unable to do a bicep curl with a light dumbell. i have visited 7 doctors and did 3 EMGs till now, the first one showed mild carpal tunnel, the second showed moderate CTS and the last one which was done today showed no CTS or peripheral neuropathy except for mild Pronator teres Syndrome in my right arm !! The doctor today asked for MRI for my neck and a blood test called C.P.K

I did kidney, liver, sugar blood and thyroid test but they were all within normal ranges. The last doctor is wondering why I have bilateral weakness. What could it be???

I also noted that when pressing with my fingers deep into my left forearm and bicep, there is severe soreness  in certain spots that has been present since 2 months, what could it be?

Hi,

Thanks for the reply, this is the first time I hear about Struthers' ligament, but I did a google research about it and one of the major symptoms of it is pain. The problem is that i dont have pain, just severe numbness on the palmar side of the hands including the first 3 1/2 of fingers. I did MRI for my neck two days ago and everything seemed fine. Could it still be Struthers' ligament? Any conservative treatments?

Hi!
In all probability there in bilateral median nerve entrapment in a ligament in the upper arm called Struthers' ligament. This is a rare condition. The other possibility is a pinched cervical spinal nerve on both sides. Take care!
