Desperate for help

i had mvd 3 years ago,but my pain has come back. However it is different in so far it is not as severe.I feel as though i have constant toothache.I have seen my dentist who took a tooth out at my request as i said it hurt, but now 3 others are hurting in the same way.I am on a large dose 1200mg of Teogrotol  night and morning,Gabapentin 900mg a day 300mg of Tramadol a day and Ibuprophen as needed what do you suggest? Would it be possible to have further surgery or indeed advisable?I have had an MR scan and have been told there is now a vascular loop, but i dont know what this means.i would like to be informed before i go back to see the surgeon.

Thankyou very much for your reply,I have seen the Neurologist since your reply, but i am advised to await the surgeon to look at the scan and to make a decision based on the result, looking at the position of the microvascular  loop in relation to the nerve.Thank you again for your reply.Jubey

Hi there!

Well, it would be difficult to comment specifically on the situation without knowing the relevant clinical details or a detailed clinical evaluation. While there is no contraindication of a review surgery, the definite cause of the symptoms would need to be determined before deciding on a management plan.  I would suggest discussing the situation and the suggested management plan in detail with your treating doctor.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!
