Does the consumption of Alcohol increase Cerebral Hemorrhage?

I'm wondering if the consumption of Alcohol increase Cerebral Hemorrhage. My boyfriend had a Hemorrhagic Stroke easter sunday, now he wants to start drinking.I'm not all for it and advice him not to.Can he drink? and if so, to what extent? If it's bad, does it increase and make the hemorrhage worse? Can it cause Subarachnoid Hemorrhage?

Medicmommy, no one can say it better than her.  TOTALLY agree.  Just makes common sense.

Since alcohol dilates blood vessels AND increases the chance of falling and striking his head, your boyfriend would be unwise to drink anything with alcohol in it. He should be grateful he is not in a nursing home, paralyzed and helpless with someone wiping his rear for him. I would offer my loved-one a non-alcoholic alternative rather than taking the chance.
