Does anyone happen to know if there has been a connection with too much estrogen causing more neuropathy pain??  Anyone experience the onset of neuropathy after a hysterectomy?  I would appreciate any info. T<

Hi,
The cause of neuropathy is not excess of estrogen but a complication of surgery most of the times  . Abdominal hysterectomy is said to be the most frequent cause of iatrogenic femoral nerve injury and the offending factor is the self-retaining retractor, which entraps the nerve between its metal blade and the bony lateral pelvic wall. However uncommon,
lithotomy position during vaginal hysterectomy can also be the culprit. Please consult  a neurologist for the treatment . Hope this helps you . Take care and regards !

hmmmm..... I've had a lot of nerve pain after a c-section. I read that a c-section can throw off   hormone levels. Maybe there is a connection between female hormone levels and neuropathy.
