Fear of Bulbar ALS

Help. About Six weeks ago, I noticed a numbing in one leg, that migrated within 24hrs to another, and through the next few days, moved to my arms as well. The numbing staying in some cases for hours or an entire day. Within two weeks my legs feelt week mostly below the knees. I was very anxious and went to emergency where tests indicated everything normal, but apt. made for Neuro with diagnoses for a neuropathy. I intially worried of MS. A week later MRI clear of MS. New worry is ALS.  Prior to this point I noticed a funny sensation in my tonge. Like a burning or metalic taste. I started to remember for months I have been having difficulty breathing when talking, although I am in sales, and thats all I do. Weaknes most noticable at the end of the day, my neck tense and have slurred my words. Recently I have been having excessive salivation. ITs making me nuts. I have have suffered from anxiety in the past and during some episodes, going back years I have had a kleenex box with me where I spit like crazy sometimes for hours. Aditionally the MRI showed two cysts over my nasal cavity confirming what I have known since I have been a kid, that I get congested all the time and feel like someithing is dripping in my throat. I have an emg schedualed, and both my Doc, and nuero think anxiety most likely. But the salivation is making me nuts. IT is now days since its onset and am getting self conscious. Is it possible for all these symptoms to come on so strong and so fast, I've heard the term bulbar Als. Ironically legs are better. I am terified. Does it sound like what I have.

Thank you for your posting,
still very anxious 8 weeks in and as of today, more numbness in my right hand, and going up to my arm, also right leg very achy above the knee, with both legs not right; although I am walking. Still have episodes of slurred speech and some salivation, although now minor.
I would love to hear from neuro with respect to quicker overall diagnosis over at clinic close to US border. I am Canadian, from Toronto; if I wanted a comprehensive check up, where would someone recommend. Called Mayo Clinic, and gave particulars but was told a call would come in in a two weeks about whether or not they would see me.  Could ALS spread so quick, would I have pains and aches?

ALS is a motor problem.  There are no sensory symptoms like numbness and tingling from what I have read.  Plus, my neuro also told me the same thing because I have all sorts of numbness, tingling etc...
