Headaches and dizziness 2 years after car accident

I am a 24 year old female who was in a car accident in december 2005.  I had a slight concussion, and whip lash.  Ever since then I have had severe headaches on the left side of my head and frequent dizziness.  The headaches start on the left side of my neck and travel into my head.  I wake up in severe pain everyday, and if I move my neck the wrong way or sleep the wrong way, I am severly dizzy all day.  This has been very dibilatating during the past two years.  I spent months in physical therapy and there was no real relief.  I also get trigger point injections every couple of months, but nothing is permanent.  The pain also goes down my left arm with numbness.  All of my mri's and other tests have come back fine.  I am extremely fustrated and fed up with never feeling good.  I am looking for some kind of relief.  please help!!!

Look up a dentist with Trudenta therapy. Often the type of headaches you describe are a combination of muscle pain and span created by poor alignment of the teeth and jaws. It's amazing the relief that people have gotten who suffered for years. Good luck!

god I have exactly the same thing but with more problems. I also have ear and eye pain on the left, and bad memmory. I am so depressed from everything that I am going through. I had an accident in 2007. I am still suffering significantly. I tried all the treatment you can think of but nothing helped.

I had a mTBI 1 year 9 months ago and has Post Concussion Syndrome and have the symptoms you mentioned.  I almost has the same issue with dizziness and pretty much I can tell if the day is going to be horrible or terrible.

As others suggested I am looking into the whiplash right now and going to PT.  As you mentioned I get relief but only temporarily.  I am looking into Prolotherapy, Chiropractor, Cranio Sacral therapy as my next trials.

I hope I can find a permanent cure and if I find anything I update.

Hi...I was going to mention whip lash as well, but my question is, did u have a MRI post this MVA?

If not y?.....u deff need to have testing done to figure out y u r having these issues, as the symptoms can be from many diff things, but since u were in a MVA, it should be the first place u start.

Good luck and do post updates : )

The arm numbness and pain symptoms may be caused by radiculitis, another form of neck injury.  You may have scar tissue built up from your whiplash injury.  Find a physical therapist who is certified to perform the Graston Technique.  It will break up that scar tissue and give you your mobility back, which should relieve the arm pain/numbness issue.
