I've been having headaches and CT and MRI scans reveal nothing except 'age related brain atrophy' ( and possible sinusitis ).
I am wondering - if you scanned 100 60 year olds' brains at random what percentage would show brain atrophy and at what level - percentage - ?
I pride myself on having a decent brain ( as Woody Allen calls it ' my second most favourite organ ) but truth be told have been a heavy drinker for forty years.
How much is the atrophy I have likely to be attributable to the drinking as opposed to the age ?
And can any diet or whatever reverse the atrophy that has taken place ?
[ I realize I have to stop drinking to try and stabilize it.]
