Welcome to the neurology forum of medhelp. I understand your concern about your health. Did you get your blood pressure checked? High blood pressure can all these symptoms that you have. Get a basal blood pressure record twice a day for 3 to 4 days to check the trend. Your physician would also like to assess the end organ functions like the renal functions, serum electrolytes, cardiac assessment already done with an ekg, fundus examination of the eye, shortness of breath could alert him to check for pulmonary edema due to back pressure. Your complete blood counts need to be done as part of anemia workup. Other causes of headache and giddiness like migraines, vasovagal attacks, cardiac rhythm disturbance, dehydration, hyperthyroidism and diabetes etc need to be looked into. A holter or a 24 hour continuous ekg or thyroid function tests, bloing fitsod sugar profile need to be done and ruled out. Various causes of vertigo like positional, meneire’s disease, inner ear problems need to be ruled out. If nothing fits in, it is probably panic attack and treatment should be given accordingly. I hope this helps. Feel free to contact me again for any clarification.
Hi. Although your symptoms are suggestive of an anxiety attack, vertigo resulting from positional changes (benign paroxysmal positional vertigo), Meniere’s disease, stroke, inner ear or vestibular problems, low blood pressure (orthostatic hypotension) or sugar (hypoglycemia), increased body temperature (heat stroke) or inadequate heart output (e.g. cardiomyopathy or arrhythmias) should also be considered. Your doctor might need to perform several blood tests, imaging procedures and vestibular testing in order to come up with a correct diagnosis. Even if no cause is found, prescription drugs and other treatments may make your symptoms more manageable. For other concerns, consult your doctor. Hope this helps.
I was thinking hormonal imbalance also. I'm having a lot of the same symptoms and I assumed it's perimenopause.
Those do sound like classic anxiety attacks. I know. I've had it for years now. Lightheadedness, it all sounds familiar. Not saying that's what you have, but it sure rang a bell with me.
Hoping you are better soon.
