Can anyone help??

For as long as I can remember I have had terrible headaches. These headaches last for days and usually rest somewhere in the front of my head. Even so i have had pains in the back of my head and in my face. A couple of years ago a headache awoke me out of bed. I went to splash water on my face and noticed that my face was pulled to one side ( the side that always hurts). I dont know exactly what is going on in my head. I have read some posts about brain pressure and I experience that as well. I dont know where to start when every doctor i know is telling me I am fine, and I constantly feel sore and tired. Is there anyone who could shed light on this? Please!

Hi there!

These headaches can have several causes.  The parts of your head that can give rise to pain are as follows: the muscles, the sinuses, the walls of the blood vessels, the covering of the brain, and the skin itself.

I suggest you make an appointment with a specialist so that you can thoroughly evaluated.  He or she may request some tests (specially imaging tests like MRI or CT SCan) as deemed necessary.

I hope you find answers soon.  Regards and God bless...

Hi, frontal headache are usually due to sinusitis, mainly due to infection of frontal sinuses. Treatment is antibiotics, anti histaminics along with steam inhalation. Other possibilities are hypertension, get your blood pressure checked. Migraine and raised intracranial tension are some of other causes. MRI brain can rule out any space occupying lesion. Please try pain killers for a week or so and if no relief is seen, do consult neurologist.
