Is there any cure for damaged nerves

My spine nerves have been damaged badly L4,L5 and S1 During a surgery conducted in operation by a neurosurgeon in 2006. Is there any cure for it or I have  to live with numbness in my right leg where apart from my toe all 4 fingers are  numb and my whole right side of the body from neck to foot pains a lot. please do reply. thank you..Amin Jindani

Thanks for your really down to earht comment.I was told the same by many others.Wellthere is this Laser surgery institute in Tamapa florida they say they can do something about it can that be real?? or just trying to get another Client ..Thanks again..Amin

Hi,

It is important to know the extent the nerve damage by tests like nerve conduction tests, MRI and CT scan.
The treatment is mainly physiotherapy, medications like anti-seizure medications and antidepressants. Surgery is done occasionally. In some cases however the nerve damage is permanent.
