There is also another type of doctor that can help, a neuro-ophthalmologist. I also have Pseudotumor Cerebri/Intracranial Hypertension, which affects my optic discs and nerves. I see a neuro-ophthalmologist for regular check-ups.
Thanks to both of you. I have my appointment on Thursday with the neuro doc and I do get headaches just about everyday. I will keep you informed on what happens.
Hi.I have IIH/PTC and papillodeama ( swelling in the optic nerve). The symptomsof IIH are headaches, blurry vision, tinnitus, and some more. A lumber puncture will tell if you have IIH.T
The opening pressure will be higher than 20-200
It is good news that you have a neuro. Be guided by that and see a Ophthalmologist.
Please feel free to pm me about any questions you may have, All the best ,Cath278
Hi,
Neurologists are specialized in nerve conditions. They are more familiar with problems with nerves and their association with the brain and spinal cord. According to your eye doctor, there is no problem with the eye and its structures but the problem is with the optic nerve. This is where the neurologist comes in. Take care and do keep us posted .
