List Of Symptoms

Hello.

PLEASE bare with me...this is long and a lot of information but I am really concerned....

I am 24/f with a list of symptoms. In Feb 2010 I was dx'd with PPD OCD and put on 10mg of Lexapro. My daughter was 6mo old and I had been experiencing panic attacks. The MD completed a TSH of which then came back normal so she referred me to a psychiatrist. Within a few weeks of taking the meds I began seeing specks or sparkles of light, then two months or so after I began with after images, and about two months ago began having floater and a speck in my FOV that never seems to go away if I am looking up and to the right. I have also experienced depersonalization since being on the meds and my MD (psych) thinks it is all related to the SSRI's and is calling it "a mini LSD-type trip". In the recent weeks I have had terrible joint pain and joint spasms...in my ankles, knees, and wrists. I also suffer from migraines and in the last 3mos have been an experiencing "Ice Pick" HA anywhere from 3-5x a day. I talked to my psychatrist about all of my symptoms and thinks I should try Lithium and maybe Lamictal...BUT has put me on 25mg Zoloft of which I seem to be tolerating but still have the above symptoms...granted it has only been a week since switching meds. I switched PMDs because the previous basically labeled me as a psych case right off and did not want to do further testing...she didn't even do a CBC or CMP...I don't have an appt with my new PMD until the end of Oct. Due to the late date of my appt, my psych wrote for me to have a CBC, CMP, Lyme titer, Vit. D, B12, TSH, T4, T3, Folate, and a UA...he also wants me to see an opthamologist as well as my neurologist to r/o any other complications such as retinal detachment (due to the vission issues) and vascular issues.

In 2008 I suffered a Complex Migraine...had all CVA symptoms minus the pain being on my left and my paralysis being on my left as well. Symptoms included: blurred vision, memory loss, severe pain, aphasia, and left sided paralysis...symptoms lasted 45min then followed by a week long HA. CT/MRI all came back negative that day...saw a Neuro in Jan of 2010 for an EEG, came back with nothing but he wants me to complete a 48hr EEG.

I do not feel that I have a mood disorder and I believe my doc is starting to realize that based on my symptoms...I am a RN in an ER...I know what I am talking about yet I am being made to feel like because I am on a SSRI I am just another headcase pt. Please, if you have any ideas, suggestions, or anything...please help me. I have two small kids and a husband...I have to know what is wrong.

Thank you.

Joint pain, spasms, migraines, etc. can be caused by a magnesium deficiency.

Some of the safer and more effective forms of magnesium include: Taurate, Glycinate, and Citrate (latter can be laxitative, so take with food).

It's much safer to try than the pharma drugs you've been on.  Just get an "ok" from your doc.

It annoys me no end the way some doctors treat women as if it's all in our heads. A psychiatrist? Get a new doctor who listens..preferably a woman doctor. If it was me I'd not take psychiatric drugs or go back to that psychiatrist but find a good osteopath that will see you asna person and find out what is wrong physically...just my opinion..
