Can you answer my question above now....I've just joined the community.
Had to butt in here....I too recently had an MRI and same results...I had it because last Jan. I woke up with a very large black area in my right eye. After a few days it went away and left a blurry area. Then 6 Months later or now...The blurred area grew to a large blurred area. Eye doctor sent me to another specialist that did a bunch of tests and said I needed to see my physician because I have had a stroke! That same dr. is now giving me shots in that eye to clear-up the blurriness??? My Dr. then sent me for the MRI.

It means there were small areas of increased signal (also called lesions) in the white matter of the brain next to the ventricles (fluid-filled areas) and below the cerebral cortex. It says that these small lesions are non-specific but lesions such as these are most commonly seen in on-going diseases of the blood vessel.
Conditions that would lead to chronic vessel disease or small vessel ischemic disease are high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, etc.
Some radiologists or doctors also say that such lesions are normal with getting older.
May I ask why you had a brain MRI? Did you have some symptoms that caused a doctor to order it for you?
I hope that this is a truly normal finding for you, and that your health will be good.
