MRI monitoring for multiple sclerosis

At what frequency should a Patient with MS  have MRIs following their diagnosis? I have had RRMS for 4 1/2 years and my last MRI was done in June 2008.  Since then I had a bout of optic neuritis in Dec 2008 and another MS flare in June 2011.  I am on Copaxone since 2008.  Should my neurologist be ordering a follow up MRI?  Why or why not?  Thank you!

Thank selma.  Yes I am in the MS forum as well and have gotten opinions from other members there, but it isn't a doctor forum.  I am looking for a neurologist's opinion in this forum.
