MRI with contrast for MS?

Hi again, everyone.
Just a quick question...

I've been having a lot weird issues (muscle spasms, tremors, twitching, numbness, cold patches, etc) since the end of '09. I'm starting to worry about possibly having MS. However, in February of this year, my cardiologist had me get a brain MRI with contrast done to rule out a lot of issues, because I have migraines and lightheadedness very often.

My question is, would my cardiologist be able to tell if I had MS? I know it isn't his field. But he did say that my MRI came back perfectly normal. Should I trust this, or should I have the results forwarded to another doctor?

I would never have a Cardiologist rule out MS after viewing your MRI.  Fowarded the MRI as Theasian stated to a Neurologist, especially one who deals with alot of MS patients.

It would be best to get a neurologist to take a look at the scans but you must remember that all doctors have had the same basic training so they should all be able to interpret the scans. And with MS it would show the little lesions (or little white spots for us commoners) so it would be pretty obvious on the scan especially if it was done with contrast. There should also be a radiologists report with the scans which you could also take a read through and see what they have to say
