Zithromax and muscle injuruy and pain

I am a physician and I want to post my experience in this area.
I was having cramps with crestor after being on it for 2 yrs. So stopped that and went on pravstatin. after about a year that gave me cramps also after a year. I was exercising regularly with fast walking on treadmill at 4.8 miles/hr rate for 30-35 nts x 4/week
I stopped exercising due to the cramps and found that my CPK was elevated around 499 ( upper limit 196)
This gradually came down over a week.
Then recently I had a respiratory infection with small walking pneumonia and took zithromax but went on a golfing trip while on Zithromax ( i feeling fine expcept for mild cough and wheezing and no fever)
Golfed for 5 days in a row. On the 4th day had some pain in the right elbow and forearm. continued the last day and took some advil 400mg
Upon return on the 5th day i noticed some swelling of the proximal forearm muscle on the right side and some swelling in the medial aspect of the elbow
Repeated the CPK and it promptly went upto 584
Muscle pain has been reported with zithromax and tendon tear has been reported with quinalones
I suspect that my muscle was prone to be injured by exercise by Zithromax
with rest it is rapidly improving.
I wonder if others have any experience

You are most likely severely magnesium depleted, a global problem with little recognition and rapidly growing adverse effects on the health of the general populace.  See:  https://openheart.bmj.com/content/openhrt/5/1/e000668.full.pdf
The statins and antibiotics have one thing very much in common, that being they are potent chelators of magnesium.  If you had plenty of magnesium, you likely wouldn't have ever experienced the adverse effects.  Note that circumstances in which you were exercising/perspiring--and hence losing salt--very likely exacerbated the situation.
