Nausea, vomiting sensation followed by fainting and headache

For the past four weeks my 17 year old son has had 11 fainting / seizures like episodes. It starts with nausea / vomiting sensation (he has not vomitted even once though) which lasts for 10-15 minutes followed by loss of consciousness which lasts from 10 to 25 minutes. After he passes out, his body is loose and experiences shiver like shaking, his teeth are locked and he is unable to talk during this phase, he does respond most of the time through eye lid / body movements, his eyes remain closed most of this time though. After regaining consciousness he feels pain at the back and upper right front part of his head. At times he feels dizzy afterwards. His brain scan, MRI, LP, EEG, Multiple EEGs and telemetry and ECHO are all normal. Neurologist at the hospital confirmed after these tests that these are not epileptiform fits / seizures, nor any heart arrhythmia noted. Just writing this post hoping to find out what is it that my son is going through.

This can be ordered by a Cardiologist.

The patient lies flat on a special table or bed while connected to ECG and blood pressure monitors. The table then creates a change in posture from lying to standing.  It is NOT the same as a basic ECG/EKG.

It is worth a try doing.

No. What is this test? Also would like to add that he takes 5 to 8 hours to get his full strength back after an episode.

Has he had a tilt table test done?

Sounds like POTS/Dysautonomia or Vasovagal Attacks.
