Need Information Quickly

Hemiplegic Migraine have been diagnosed.  My left side is totally messed up as is my eyesight.  I have been prescribeda med called Cambia.  Main ingredient is Diclofenac Potassium.  This works will the first couple of times I took it although it truly messes me up, couldn't understand why as it is not a narcotic.  Yesterday my blood work came back and my cortisol levels are low.  Blood taken before I stated this med.  I have had problems with adrienal glad for years.  My question is should I take a med with Potassium in it?

I do not want to have any additional bleeds in my brain.  I also don't want to go into an Adrenal Crisis!  Please help!

Thank you Dr. Sharma,  I know that my adrenal glad is damaged.  Morning cortisol level very low, going in on monday for additional tests.  I have not been on steriods, stopped taking them last summer.  Will start again probably Monday.  My neuro prescribed a drug called Cambie, which is Diclofenac potassium, although not a narcotic it totally messes me up.  My neuro and my endo have not communicated yet.  All of this has happened very quickly.  So I just wanted to be sure it was OK for me to take the Cambia due to my low cortisol levels.  I have avoided taking it after I looked up low cortisol and the inability of my body to rid itself of potassium.  As to the symptoms you described I am very familiar with them.  Although other then the abdominal pain, the confusion and dissiness, weakness and paralisis in my left side can be probably from both my head and my adrenals.  I have also ruptured c3 in my neck, the only pain I have from this is in my shoulder and arm a little in my neck but not much.  C2 and C4 are bulging.  I see a doctor for that on Tuesday.  Until 2 weeks ago when I started passing out I avoided doctors because I was scared and had a bad experance with a Endo last year.  Now I am so greatful to your profession as I feel so much better.  Still scared to take the Cambia any advise??

Hi there. Adrenal crisis occurs when adrenal gland is damaged as in addison’s disease, pituitary gland is injured and the risk factors are stopping steroids abruptly or surgery ,infection and injury to adrenal or pituitary and trauma. Symptoms include abdominal pain, confusion or coma and dizziness are a few symptoms. You can get your serum electrolytes before taking the drug. Take care.
