What is my problem

5 months ago after a 6 month period of extreme stress I started having muscle twitches after which I googled it and found als which heightened my anxiety ,1 month of insomnia, heart palpitations followed and so did my twitching,I started having slight speech problems with constant facial twitches though only I could hear it and no one else confirmed it....The speech thing continued for the next few months where I felt that I had a heavy tongue and had to force everything out....This speech thing now is good in some days and bad on other days...I also noticed that my left hand thenar is a lot smaller and less chunkier compared to my right ...Though I don't have any kind of weakness in my left hand....I have visited 5 doctors 2 of them being neuros ....None of them take me seriously and have told that it is some form of somatisation disorder....But I still suffer from body wide fasics and fatigue and some times a heavy face and tongue..

Well, the good news is that you have been thoroughly check out by multiple physicians.  They have a duty to treat patients and have taken an oath to do so.  So, being told it is not something to be worried about in terms of a neurological problem by 5 doctors is meaningful.  What if it IS a somatisation disorder?  That doesn't mean it isn't real. That means it is  caused by mental health reasons.  That is STILL treatable!  I would consult with a psychiatrist.  (I'm assuming you've done things like cut out caffeine, improved lifestyle and gotten more sleep).  let us know if a psychiatrist is something you'd consider.  good luck

Thank you for the reassurance but I feel as though they are neglecting me because I am only 22 and these types of things don't happen at such a young age....
The thing is, why would FIVE doctors say the same thing?  I know it is hard to imagine that these symptoms and issues could all be psychological but they can be.  What if you try to open up to that possibility, seek help from a psychiatrist with the hope that the symptoms would get better if you do so?
