For the past month or two i have kept getting a strange sensation on the right side of my mouth, tongue and throat.
My tongue will feel tingly down the right side, i feel like i have something stuck in my throat behind my right tonsil but however much i swallow or try to dislodge whatever it is, nothing comes out. I also get a tingling type feeling around the right corner of my lips. I have noticed it is a lot worse after i have been drinking. The past few times it has come on the following morning after drinking and persists for a few days before going away again. I am not sure if it is something to do with the alcohol or perhaps sleeping in a different bed, or on a floor? Could it be caused by a neck problem? I think i have something wrong with the right side of my neck anyway.
I often get the sensation of something being stuck behind my right tonsil without the tingling on my tongue and lips. This can come on at any time and does not coincide with having had a drink.
I am a 23 yr old female. I got a dx of fibromyalgia last year (a lot of my FMS pain in on my right side from the top of my head to my feet and sometimes it feels worse when i have these mouth sensations) (could it be related to that?) over the past 2 years i have had various medical tests (heart ecg and echo, tonnes of blood work, brain mri) i dont drink a lot, i get drunk maybe a couple of times every month. I have 1 or 2 cigarettes when i drink, but i dont normally smoke.
Medication i am on: 20mg nortriptyline at night, co codamol 30/500 as and when i need it.
Anyone have any ideas about this? My doctor looked at me like i had two heads or something when i asked her about this. She'd never heard a symptom like it before.
