Localized Piloerection

I've been having sensory difficulties for quite awhile and I was wondering can hemangiomas on the thoracic and lumbar spine cause localized piloerection?  I understand they are a benign vascular tumor and it doesn't cause concern, but I do wonder if it is possible that it is pressing against a nerve to cause my symptoms that I have?

Or can periventricular white matter lesions cause such?  I am not diagnosed with MS nor do I want to be and I am hoping I can find out other possible causes for the neurosensory deficits.

I am a post viral (EBV) approximately 11 months ago.  I had a relapse of active EBV in 2 years time.  Can the virus cause these symptoms even if the titers are no longer in an acute active phase?

What other possible etiologies would provoke such a response?

friend has piloerection, very sluggish/fatigue, kind of hyperventilating episodes (like when kids do this in grade school back in day), all along with goosebumps, and emotional instability at those moments. His wife is dr. and she is stumped.  just curious about others.  they have him on acid reducers and some mood calming drug.  Loss of weight too.  Had pacemaker put in due to very slow beat rates kind of at beginning of these episodes. any thoughts.

This is so frustrating, is this an odd occurrence? Does anyone else have this or is it "just" me?
