Nerve Injury in head area

6.5 months ago anxiety caused me to put pressure on my left temple using my jaw muscles by stretching them downward and applying force to it alot of force as I was angry....while doing this I could feel the pressure mostly on my upper left temple....when I released the pressure I felt an exterme sharp pain above my temple actually on the top left side of my head about 2.5 inches north of my lef temple. 4 days later I closed only my left eye and felt a snap in my temple area above the left eye. Everyday after that I felt that same sharp pain on top of my head in the same spot as I did the night of the injury. 2 months later I started experiencing pins/needles, tingling, and feeling hot throughout my body...then the temple area started to twitch and also felt very sore, also burned and itched up there...the sharp pain subsided progressively and Id say it stopped altogether about 4 months after the initial sharp pain..I felt itchy and warm throughout my body and then my entire body started to twitch..started at night when I would try to fall asleep my neck would snap to the left and back involuntarily,, same with the arms stomach and feet...twitches started during the daytime as involuntary twitches of the tendons in my elbows and knees...I felt the popping in my temple again about 3 weeks ago when I was squinting in the sunlight..since then I have been dizzy and off balance feel like im in a fog..areas other then my temple are starting to go numb like my right arm and shoulder..feel kinda weak and fatigued body still twitches and crazy sensations at night like I need to swallow and the shocks throughout my body or lound cracking sounds in my head/difficulty breathing face and arms get numb at night...had a cat scan in feb, showed sinking of left side of brain..got mri with contrast last week and it confirmed that I did not have a chiari malformation which is what they were looking for...I feel as if they are ignoring what I am telling them and all the doctors think that its impossible for me to put enough pressure up there to do any damage to the top of my head..i feel more off now than every in terms of the dizziness and numbness/burning in random spots in my body..i am meeting with the pa of my neuro because clearly he thinks im crazy after finding no chiari malformation...i am worried that I damaged nerves in the front left side of my head and that its slowly causing me to lose my sensations on my skin and my muscle control...things feel wierd when they touch my skin now almost like im numb and can barely feel it....Im worried that I am developing either progressive bulbar palsy, progressive muscluar atrophy, or als from this trauma I caused to myself...or possibly upper motor nueron syndrome...the babinski test was negative and I been examined a few times but I feel like I am losing my balance and equilibrium more now then ever before,,,just worried that my symptoms and worsening...help me with some input please!!!! I am going to force them to give me and eeg and emg next possibly nvc.

Hi there, you need to be investigated in detail by a neurologist for multiple sclerosis where the disease phase is characterized by active phase and remissions. It has multiple symptoms and signs and is a diagnosis of exclusion. The symptoms of multiple sclerosis are loss of balance, muscle spasms, numbness in any area, problems with walking and coordination, tremors in one or more arms and legs. Bowel and bladder symptoms include frequency of micturition, urine leakage, eye symptoms like double vision uncontrollable rapid eye movements, facial pain, painful muscle spasms, tingling, burning in arms or legs, depression, dizziness, hearing loss, fatigue etc. The treatment is essentially limited to symptomatic therapy so the course of action would not change much whether MS has been diagnosed or not. Apart from clinical neurological examination, MRI shows MS as paler areas of demyelination, two different episodes of demyelination separated by one month in at least two different brain locations. Spinal tap is done and CSF electrophoresis reveals oligoclonal bands suggestive of immune activity, which is suggestive but not diagnostic of MS. Demyelinating neurons, transmit nerve signals slower than non-demyelinated ones and can be detected with EP tests. These are visual evoked potentials, brain stem auditory evoked response, and somatosensory evoked potential. Slower nerve responses in any one of these is not confirmatory of MS but can be used to complement diagnosis along with a neurological examination, medical history and an MRI in addition, a spinal tap.  Migraines also need to be ruled out if you have accompanying headaches. Therefore, it would be prudent to consult your neurologist with these concerns. Hope this helps. Take care.

Also wanted to add bad ringing in ears as another symptom which i read could be caused by damage to the vestibochlear nerve or brain stem...
