Hi there. I understand the discrepancy that is occurring in your diagnosis. you have symptoms suggestive of a pituitary macroadenoma, the headaches, visual symptoms , galactorhea, menstrual problems, nausea, but hormone levels are within normal limits. Therefore, your pressure symptoms could be due to a brain tumor like pituitary adenoma or craniopharyngioma. Other possibility is polycystic ovarian syndrome causing hirsutism, menstrual irregularities etc. both these need to be ventured, get an MRI brain also. Hope that your neurologist and gynecologist can find a clue to the problem. Take care.
Sounds like your hormones are going insane!
It's a lot more common than you think to be honest.
It's caused my infections, over active hormones, false pregnacny,
On a more serious note:
'A rare cause of high prolactin levels is a benign growth in the pituitary gland that over-stimulates the prolactin releasing tissue.'
You can have en eye test done to see if your pituitry gland is enlarged, so if your Dr isn't taking you seriously try asking an optician for their advice.
Personaly, I think your Dr's sound rude, and have no compassion for people who are in constant fear of having something terminal or serious.
I'm not a Dr by the way, but it's always nice to have someone actually reply.
FORCE your Dr to care. Use the 'I'm suicidal' treatment on them if you have to!
