Possible CSF leak from nose

Ive been having some light clear fluid drainage from  my left nostril.  A couple months ago a had a root canal removed and the oral surgeon lost a tiny piece in my nasal cavity.  He was unable to reach it and was looking for it and shooting water etc up in my nasal cavity.
He decided to leave it andif need be have surgery again to remove it and a sinus polyp which i have.

Since then ive had intermittent headaches and dizziness and tremors.
There really isnt much discharge.  Maybe a few drips a day but im concerned.

Do you think its possible to have a csf leak from that nostril after the type of surgery i had?
I have an appt for an ENT in feb.

Thanks

Thank you for your replies.  I dont know if this is any type of allergy.  It only leaks from my left side where the surgery was and started about a month ago.  This was about a month or so after the surgery.

I have a sinus polyp on that left side as well so im not sure if this could be causing some sort of leak?  Its just a very thin watery like substance and leaks a few times or so a day.

I just have been concerned with it becuase i have been having lots of headaches and pressure.  Also some vertigo and feeling off balance.

Thanks again for your responses.

Joe

Hi, Relax!, I too doubt whether the fluid is CSF. Anyways you are seeing a ENT doctor so can wait till his evaluation and opinion.
Take care.

Hello.

It is less likely that this is CSF. It appears to be the secretion of the mucosal lining of the nasal cavity. Do you have any allergies ?
