To Doctors,
I am a healthy 32 year old male, I work and excersize daily. I travel very often and I am a social drinker on the weekends. Well for the past 6 years on a span of every 2 months or so I get this sharp pain in my left earlobe. I can honestly say it feels like a nerve that ends at the tip of the earlobe I belive its called the larynx, pharynx. This is definately a sharp pin n needle feeling, it usually lasts about 15 miuntes till it gets to the excruciating level and stops, and goes away and i am able to function again. However moments before hand what triggers it may be a sudden movement of my head, rubbing my ear to much, or just like as if i displaced dat nerve or i moved it. I have no headaches associated, no other pain at all. Overall I would say that I rarely get sick, of anything, seldom colds, but nothing serious. This past pain episode in my ear left a tickly feeling at the jaw/ear location. no pain, but as stated before, it almost feels like a nerve issue, cause anywhere I rub my face even so gently causes that tickling feeling at the jaw/ear location. No pain, or sharp pins and needles - but I cannot help to guess that my nerve is sensitive.
To go back in history of how this started, about 6 years ago - I used to wear very very tight glasses and used to talk on my cell phone till the batter went dead almost everyday. I noticed everytime I took off my glasses, I there was a slight pain in the left ear, only the left, though the right was feeling pain as well, but the left was bad, all of a sudden one day this sharp pin and needle pain just started while i was wearing the glasses. I changed my glasses like a year later and this time it was light, but I would say every 2 months or so this pain returns ever since then.
I told my doctor this, but could not see an immediate issue. Asking me extensive questions, regarding pain elsewhere and body fuctions. Every body function is 100% active and well used through, and have no compaints elsewhere.
Should I be concerned with this pain I have, and seek emergency help? or should I try seeking specialists that may try to numb this very annoying and excruciating pain that ocurrs as soon as I do an abrubt movement to my face.
Thank you for your time.
