Right side of my head is numb and it felt like I was going to have a seizure

Hello I am a 47 year old female that was in a bad T-Bone car accident March 2nd/08.  I have had many test's but nothing came back serious. I do have a few bulging discs and herniated disc.
When I woke up this morning I was feeling kind of strange, the right side of my head is feeling numb still, I didn't sleep very well-woke up about 3-4 times.  When I stood up it felt like all my muscles were jerking for about 40 seconds not sure.  I felt like I was going to fall or loose consiousness so I sat back down quickly.  This reminded me that this has happened to me before with the same scenerio I think a couple of times. When I went downstairs to get the dog his food I put it in the coffee filter? I think this has left me confussed as well. I have an appointment on Tuesday next week to see a Neurologist for spine and lower back issues.  Could this be related?   I have had sciatica nerve issues and major swelling and hematoma in both legs for 4 1/2 months.  I am on Naproxen for my back as well.

what I do believe is that the drs can not possibly know what all the problems r to identify them nor can they possibly know which treatmenet is going to work for any given individual.I do believe u know ur body, and u know what has and what hasn't worked...now u have to find a dr that will work with u as well as listen to u!! PUSH PUSH PUSH......don't settle.

( I am in the same boat, but I have changed my drs...on the 3rd one now for one dx)

Thank you for your thoughts! I am sorry to hear you are still suffering.  When the neuroligical issues keep coming up after 8 months it becomes a worry.  This accident has caused problems with my bladder, lower back sciatica, legs, and just last week I am noticing tingling on the right side of my body and then I get cold.  I really feel this is all related but not to sure if they are going to help me.
I was on pills for my back so long that I started getting abdominal pain.  They told me it was my gallbladder...I would have thought it was my appendix.  They removed both just two weeks ago. Let's see what happens now?  I wonder if they will do lower back surgery next!  I can't imagine another surgery right now but if it will help!  They told me in January I may need a hysterectomy...do you think they are trying to make it look like it wasn't the accident that caused all these problems? Not to sure what to think right now.

Hi, sounds scarey......I am sure ur neurologist will find out what is going on...it can be residual from the accident..ask him to do MRI's of ur spine, brain ect...rule our whip lash...I had it after an accident un noticed by drs for 14 yrs...I alwaays stated the same thing...I was in an accident and the problems are......All I can say is if the dr does not listen ...find  a new dr!

Good luck
