Severe persistent headache

I've had a severe, persistent headache for five weeks.  The symptoms are bizarre.  It started as a cap of pain at the top of my head, sometimes squeezing, sometimes pressure, then burning and tingling.  It then spread to the rest of my head, sometimes on one side, sometimes the other.  Sometimes back at the top, sometimes at the back, or behind the ears.  My ears hurt off and on, and I have intermittent tingling in the right side of my face and in my lower legs.  I had a CT scan, which was clear, and an MRI, which was "inconclusive."  I've been referred to a neurologist, but there's a waiting list.  Has anyone ever experienced anything like this?

You say these are symptoms of migraine.  But they have persisted for five solid weeks.  And what about the tingling in my face and legs?  Any further thoughts?

These are symptoms of migraine. You are advised to visit a neurologist at first opportunity. Meanwhile you should lead a stress free life, proper sleep, balanced diet with proper exercise. Avoid smoking and alcohol. Take care!
