Shooting neck pain

Hi , im 20 years old , and i have these really random shooting neck pains that just start in my neck and shoot up into my head they only last for a minute or so but its excruciating , then my arms will kind of have an annoying sore pain, and ive recently developed this small lump on the back of my neck at my hairline. does anybody know what these can be from .. I dont know whether its worth the time to go to the doctors or anything.

Hi, I don´t know what this can be, but I do think you should go see a doctor about it. Expecially if the pain is so bad. But I hope you get better soon and this just goes away.

Thank you ! I'm going to make a doctors appointment tomorrow . I just hope they can tell me something . I had a friend tell me that the lump could be a swollen lymph node and its possible I have an infection . I guess we'll find out . Thanks again for the kind words .
