(What do people think about steroids in the absence of diagnosis?)   Symptoms Back of the head numbness and tingling, facial nunbness, fatigue, arm and feet tingling, etc.

Hi. I am taking Lyrica, 150mgs daily after having a VP shunt fitted in Nov. It is to help with the nerve pain as it heals. Side effects? It makes me tired but helps with the pain.About the canker sores, they can make you feel quite ill. It can be a sign of a dental problem,a lack of VitC or a sensitivity  reaction to something you are taking. Try washing your mouth out with aspirin,but! then spit it out. It will help with the pain.About the steroids,be careful. Decide to take them or not. But tell your gp what you are doing. I understand your caution about them. I was on them for 18mths and its not fun. I hope you feel better soon.Cath278

Hi...sorry..I missed somwe of ur posts...stop by the fibro forum..some there r taking lyrica.

Has ne of the drs suggested u taking magnessium suppliments for the inflamation?

Ask ur dr...to see if it can help and for dose and useage.

Off Roids--Nuero put me on Lyrica now/Anyone know anything about it??

BTW--Primary,s P.A called and the Nuero and She really want me to try the small dosage of Prenesone to see if this helps my Neurapathy  (inflammed nerves) for a month will probable give it a try, her selling was we give children with bee stings higher levels than this so side effects should not be a issue or due to the lenth you are taking them

I have not started them yet, Suppose to call back Primary back Tomm after the 4 weeks of Vit D if No Improvement (Not any) Than would start the Roids--Still dont think I am going to do probable will bear it till next month and see the Rhemmy for the first time, I have waited this long (13 months) Whats One more month, Like you I think the roids will just confuse things and the second Nuero did not agree with that Rx.

And u said it is only 1 month.....as u know steriods can cause other issues.

My only other thought is, if there r ne changes to ur conditions/symptoms will the use "hide" them and make a dx even harder?

Forgot to add--This is 25mg Tapered down to 5mg for only a month??
