Thank you for responding. I read something about panic attacks and irritated vagus nerve. I seem to be suffering from an awful case of nervousness and anxiety for no reason. I had a seemingly minor car crash 5 months ago, my neck still hurts, but all of this nervousness and anxiety started the day after the car incident and is getting worse. Night sweats, trembling, even my voice trembles and now Ive noticed my eye sight is starting to quiver on and off if at makes sense. It's very frightening, my doctor has given me lots of blood tests, all fine. I wonder if I've damaged my neck in some way and thesis causing it? My doctor has mentioned post traumatic stress, but this seems extreme, don't know where to turn. we have discussed lupus, as I have got a rash on my cheek on and off, it comes and goes and also sometimes when I eat my cheek gets red and sweats, any thoughts you have would be most welcome, of course there is also the possibility of menopause I am 52, but can it be this bad.
Hello and hope you are doing well.
Isolated vagus nerve paralysis can occur during surgical procedures. Vagus nerve paralysis can cause difficulty swallowing, problems with speech and abnormalities of esophageal motility and gastric acid secretion. If you could list your symptoms, I could help you identify the cause.
Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
