Weak limbs, throbbing when i sit, lower back pain and sweating, and extreme fatique.

Dear Doc,

I am a 35 yr old otherwise in good health mom of 1. Last summer I started having severe weak legs with beads of sweat on my forehead all the time. I actually felt at times that I was paralized. I let this go for months, then went to see my family doctor, he thought maybe stress and gave me a mild sedative, and an antibiotic because i had a low white blood count. Neither worked, and now my symptoms have prgressed rapidly to my arms, and pain in my lower back. I have had a cat scan of my lumbar, and an MRI of my lumbar and C-Spine. Tonnes of blood work, all ok. And now i am being sent to a Neurolologist. 2 diseases have come up with my doctor - Myesthenia Gravis, and Polymyositis. But when i look the two up, i have no facial weakness, no rash, just severely weak and throbbing legs and arms, and extreme exhaustion. I could sleep more than i am awake if i allow myself. The only health problems i have had is gynecological, and i have had bell's policy 6 years ago, which left my one eye to sag a bit. I had a bad bought of it. Any idea would be great. Hope to hear from ya
Kim

Did you have pain, or throbbing with your weakness? My arms arent near as bad as my legs and back. But my legs throb like i just ran a marathon. My doctor says that I shouldnt be experiencing pain if it is a Neuroligical issue. But now my back kills, never use to, and my legs just throb.

i recommend the Myositis Association;  I have been DX'ed with polymyositis for three years.  I have the weak and throbbing legs, no facial weakness.  Before beginning treatment with steriods,  i fell easily. had difficulty dressing myself, was tired all of the time.  i do not have the kind of myositis that has a rash.  keep researching.  Have you had a muscle biopsy--that is the definitive test usually for polymyositis.
