Thank you for your comment. After doing some more research on the greatest search engine on earth (google). I think that we have narrowed it down or what we think that it could possibly be vericose/spider veins. Her veins are showing through her skin, which they were not prior to surgery. We now have her feet elevated, compression sock on, and heat compress applied. She has no pain with the foot elevated. Is it possible that vericose/spider veins cause this much pain or even what is causing the pain? She had an Ultrasound on the leg in question on the femoral artery to rule out a DVP two days post op. The DR's, didn't mention anything about the Ultasound being positive or negative so I assume that no news is good news. Thanks again for your help!
Thank you for your question. Although without being able to examine her I can not offer you the specific advice on diagnosis and treatment that she needs, but I would try to provide you some relevant information about her health concern.
I doubt that still there may be some nerve is compressing or injured during the back surgery. Sometimes these symptoms may occur due to other nerve compression. I would suggest consulting her treating neurologist who would like clinically examine her and/or order few investigations like MRI to reach at probable diagnosis here. Hope this helps.
