Why do i feel a burning sensation in my shoulder?

So I've had a MRI done of my neck and I have slight buldging of discs in my neck. About a month ago, I started getting a burning sensation in a circular pattern in my shoulder. Like middle of shoulder, does not radiate anywhere else. Is this a pinched nerve? I've tried icy hot and the burning sensation is the same as my current condition so it doesn't help. Can anyone offer any advice? I do see a doctor on the 1414th but until then, is there anything I can take to help the pain until then? Thanks
