absolutely scared

I forgot to ask....... but I REALLY want to know. CAN STRESS really give me Neurological symptoms of Fibromyalgia??? I have a "type A" personality to put it mildly. I rarely relax. I am always busy and have alot of issues to deal with regarding people.: employees, teenagers, maintenance on many things breaking all around me. I am tired of being the "go to" guy. Yes I do have a crackberry also.  I don't want to get on medication for depression. EVER. So... should I start drinking?

hi there. sorry to hear you are so tense.Sure..exhaustion can zap your adrenal gland and cause burn out. Exhaustion is also a defensive method your body has to force you to stop and rest. Its very hard when so many depend on you. I guess you just gotta be more selfish..and get some me time even if it means getting physically away ( as in next room not necessarily next continent) for a bit and leaving people to cope without you.I injured my back badly last year and have had to stop doing everything and allow others to help (..or not..)...result ? Things not done the way I like it,too much mess, but hey..the world has gone on spinning ...and I have finally learnt to relax more....
bestest of luck to you

Though I'm NOT a dr....just another girl with medical problems, I am glad to hear that you are NOT going on antidepressants! I don't think drinking is the answer either! :) I personally think that stress can do ALL kinds of things to us, it can alter our brains, and our whole bodies. People get heart disease from stress, why not the brain also? I tend to have seizures when under more stress than normal, so in my personal opinion, I would say yes, and try to get rid of some of that stress in your life, I would, except that would mean giving away my husband and two children.. :) Take care of yourself, Kristy
