desperate mom and wife

I am 26 years old I suffer from chronic migraines. Supposedly I have restless leg syndrome. Since I had diagnose they have change my medication 3 times. At first the doctor prescribed me tramadol 50 mg, then she prescribed Requip 15 mg and now they prescribed me Meripex .0125 mg. My question is Why none of those medicines I just mentioned help me with the symptoms I have? It's really annoying I can't sleep at all I have to be walking up and down so it won't hurt that much and feel tired all the time ( I think is because I can't sleep) and i don't have any kind of sexual appetite. Can somebody help me?

I am a nurse and have suffered from migraines since I was in my 20's. I am now 40 and finally went to a neurologist that specializes with migraines. I have tried every type of migraine medication(even herbal). You need to confirm that your migraines aren't related to your cycle (hormone levels) or something in your diet. There are so many different types of medications. Some work for me one week and next week they don't. I alternate my medications. You need to try to find one that works for you.
I also had difficulty sleeping. My headaches would wake me up or I would wake up with one much worse. My doctor prescribed be Sonata which helps me sleep. This helps you get to sleep without becoming addicting like Ambien. I hope this helps!

I too have chronic migraines.
When the leg discomfort interferes with sleep, more symptoms may develop, like fatigue and aches and pains.
You should consider taking magnesium supplements.
Although magnesium oxide is cheap and widely used in multi-vitamins, it is not absorbed well in the intestines.
Look at the list of ingredients on the bottle, and choose mag taurinate or mag glycinate.
Source Naturals Ultra-Mag is a good example.

Here is one article I found for you regarding restless legs and magnesium:

Supplemental magnesium is helpful for migraine.
Omega-3's in fish oil supplements are helpful for migraine.

Here are two references about that:
