Dizziness

I'm a healthy and fit 33 year old but in the last 3 weeks have been experiencing dizziness when I lie down or get up from bed or when I turn over while sleeping. I also get dizzy spells when I'm looking up at something (that's above my eye level and I need to tilt my head upwards) or if I need to turn my head to the side to look at someone who is not directly in front of me.
I went to the doctor and he took my blood pressure and it seems fine. Any ideas?

Hi there. common causes of dizziness are low blood pressure due to anemia etc, heat stroke, dehydration, vertigo due to disturbed body equilibrium,  benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, meneire’s disease, and inflammation of the inner ear,  heart problems like heart attack, irregular cardiac rythms, rapid or slow heart rates, cardiomyopathy, certain drugs like beta blockers, pregnancy, high blood pressure etc. considering the wide range of possibilities,  consult a physician and a detailed clinical examination along with certain blood tests and cardiac assessment is required for diagnosing the cause. Management will depend on the cause. Take care.

Since it seems to involve a change of position in the head, my first thought would be an inner ear infection. Having one of these could definitely be responsible for your dizziness. I would schedule another appointment with your doctor to have him/her check for any inner ear abnormalities, or possibly sinus problems. Good luck.
