Please advise( post brain tumour ) poss csf leak

I had a large right sphenoid wing meningioma removed approx 2 years ago. Treated 2 months later for post op infection. One year ago developed severe nasal drip. Symptoms same as csf leak. Recently attended ENT dept ,fluid sent for csf check , came back too viscous for interpretation. Check was not done properly, in my opinion. Fluid lay all weekend before being sent to lab. Now dr says probably because fluid was viscous its just simple nasal fluid. I am not convinced , What can I do next? Lots of my symptoms are same as csf leak. too many to go into on here. please advise

Thanks, my scar is above my right eyebrow under my hairline extending to my ear.  I am in Scotland , therefore I rely on nhs and cannot just change docs. I do have positional symptoms big time. I also have lots of others. I am going back to see ent consultant but want to have proper info to put before him.  Thanks anyway.

May I ask where ur incision was, where the scar is? do u have ne issues near that site?

If u really feel it is a leak, do u have positional issues?

A LP can be done to check opening pressure, not sure if that will help with a leak or possible leak, as u can get one from a LP if not done right with the precautions afterward.

U can try a Diff Dr...ask for a surgical report to take to a diff Dr for review....

A leak will leave u with intense pain....but if it is a very small leak sometimes ur body adjusts so that u do not have all the reg symptoms of a leak....it is a touchy thing to dx.....

But ur symptoms will play into it, or should.

wish I could offer more helpful insight
