I'm a 19 year old girl with no history of illness (apart from recently diagnosed IBS) About a month and a half ago I began experiencing a strange feeling of pressure in my head - it's difficult to describe, but feels almost as though there's a bubble between my skull and brain. Sometimes it intensifies - this is something akin to the feeling you get when you take off in an aeroplane. I'm also suffering from headaches, feelings of weakness in my left arm and leg, visionary disturbances, nausea, and a feeling of unreality - this especially is incredibly distressing. I've been to the doctor and had various blood tests, which eliminated thyroid problems, anaemia etc...she's referred me to a neurologist, but it could be months before I get an appointment and I don't know if I can wait that long. I'm just desperate to know what's wrong, and I feel I can't discuss the issue with my friends and family. I'm sorry, I know there are people in pain and with real medical problems, and I feel so guilty for making such a fuss. I'm just really frightened I've got a brain tumour - I feel worse every day and I'm finding it really hard to cope. Thankyou for reading this!
