headache a sympton

Today my dad who is a 67 year old white male had a CT of his head due to horrible headaches and the fact that he is now losing his hair, very suddenly. Apparently the CT and the bloodwork ?? showed that he has sarcoidosis. My question is what should we expect with this disease?? My father about 11 years ago suddenly started having grand maul seizures, we at the time initially thought he was having a stroke, but it was determined he was NOT epileptic. He has been also suffering from back pain, and nervousness, difficulty resting and fatigue etc. I'm really worried. His heart is good, as are his lungs, BUT I'm scared to death. He and my mom leave for vacation next week and his doctor advised that AFTER he returns he'll talk this all over with him. Gee why wait. Should I be worried?

Hello.

It is unusual to get diagnosed with sarcoidosis in this age. Sarcoidosis affects different internal organs. He will get the vague symptoms along with some specific symptoms.

He can feel relief from medication. He may develop hypercalcemia. He should avoid direct sunlight and foods rich in vitamin D.
